Sections & Devices

Table sections define distinct areas within a site, enabling the assignment of pagers and table numbers to ensure accurate paging notifications based on both section and table number.

The devices section allows for the creation and configuration of pagers, including their associated settings.

Adding New Table Sections

Follow these steps to add a new sections:

  1. From the Table Sections tab | click Add

  2. Enter the Section Name

  3. Adjust the section order as required with the up / down arrow buttons

    The defined order will control how sections are displayed on screens
  4. Click Save

Adding Devices

Follow these steps to add new devices:

  1. From the Devices tab | click Add

  2. Enter the following details, ID | Display Name

  3. Select the required Device type from the drop down

  4. If the paging device is not to be Active de-select the check box

  5. Click Save

The pager device type selected will define what is shown in the base station configuration settings, if multiple pager types are chosen two base stations will be displayed

Paging Methods

Follow these steps to configure paging methods:

  1. Select the required Paging Method

    Paging notifications are based on the rules created in Kitchen iQ Configuration for Notifications
    • All Pagers In Table Section - all pagers associated to the section will be sent a message

    • All Active Pagers - all pagers active pagers in the site will be sent a message

    • Round Robin All Pagers - all pagers in the site will be sent a message with a delay between each notification based on the delay / maximum hops configuration

    • Round Robin In Pager Section - all pagers associated to the section will be sent a message with a delay between each notification based on the delay / maximum hops configuration

  2. For Round Robin enter the required Delay in MM:SS | and Max Hops

  3. Click Save

Base Station Settings

Follow these steps to configure base stations:

  1. For LRS Serial Base Stations enter the following details, COM Port | Baud Rate | Data Bits | Parity

    Typically set as COM1 | 1200 | 8 | None
  2. For LRS IP Base Stations enter the following details, IP Address | Port Number

  3. Click Save
